What the application does
The application helps the publisher maintain an accurate local Excel bookkeeping workbook. Its Google Sheets connection is limited to checking the designated Margriet Book Sales Tracker for completed sales that may need to be added to the workbook.
- It reads the tracker only after an authorized user chooses to check for new paid sales.
- It shows a preview before any selected sale is added to the local bookkeeping workbook.
- It ignores pending sales and settlement-log transfers.
- It does not edit, delete, or add information in Google Sheets.
Google access
The application requests only the Google Sheets read-only permission. Although Google describes this permission broadly, the application is programmed to read only the designated Margriet Book Sales Tracker and to verify its expected title, tabs, and columns before processing information.
Security and user control
Google connection details and the renewal token are stored in the authorized user’s macOS Keychain. The user can disconnect the Google account in the application or revoke access through their Google Account at any time.
